In the past three years, diving tourism has been rapidly developing, especially among young people. This activity offers fresh perspectives, attracting visitors to explore pristine coastal areas such as Cu Lao Cham (Quang Nam), Hon Yen (Phu Yen), and Phu Quoc (Kien Giang).
Vietnam is gradually developing diving tourism thanks to promotional information on social media, attracting many tourists passionate about the marine ecosystem’s scenery. Diving tourism continues to offer addictive adventures, attracting a large community. On social media, there are over 20 groups bringing together diving enthusiasts. The largest group, with nearly 10,000 members, regularly shares beautiful locations, diving experiences, equipment suppliers, and reputable certified diving centers.
Moreover, diving experiences not only provide fascinating knowledge but also foster environmental protection awareness and appreciation for the homeland’s marine and island regions. Additionally, there are meaningful activities such as tourists participating in trash cleanup and coral planting to preserve and restore parts of the marine environment.
Currently, diving in Vietnam can be divided into two types: scuba diving and freediving. Vietnam also offers many courses for these tourism activities.
There are numerous places for tourists to go diving: Phu Quy Island (Binh Thuan), Ly Son Island (Quang Ngai), Thanh Lan Island (Co To, Quang Ninh), and more.
