Mae Hong Son is in the northeast of Thailand, and located about 270km from Chiang Mai by the northern road, or 370km by the southern one. This city is also known as Muang Sam Moke, “the city of three clouds”, since at any time of year, clouds cross the hills and cover the village with a soft white mist.
